REMINDER

  • We will be having our annual Rees Pit Party on August 21st. From 3 till dark. We’ll have a sign up sheet for food. We’ll be cooking hamburgers and hotdogs. Hope to see you there!

Okay so here is the deal. Today, in Morgan is our annual 5k run. I tried and tried to find some streets and all that that would get us 3.1 miles and I couldn’t seem to find anything that had good land markers, so instead we are doing intervals today! Just like I’ve said in the past, I don’t think it’s too much to ask to run this kind of distance/intervals once a year. This should be nothing crazy and should be very doable for everyone.

I’m a firm believer in showing up and doing the work. Now I know, this workout doesn’t look sexy, but that doesn’t mean you won’t benefit from it. In the past, when people have cherry picked workouts, it didn’t end well! I can promise you, if you cherry pick this workout, I will just lie about another workout and you will show up and have to run just as much so you might as well show up right?

This is why we workout every day, so we can do anything we want to. Today should be no different. Hopefully we can see you tomorrow, and if we don’t by some weird “coincidence”, just know another one will be coming 🙂

And just think, it could be worse. You could have to run a 3 miles after rowing 3000m and 300 doubles unders, in over 100 degree weather!
